After his last parent died, John wanted to pay tribute. But not surprisingly for a male child from a large family, John couldn’t recall any memorable stories about him and his folks. The family, though, had been crazy about all kinds of sports, particularly whiffle ball, tennis, volley ball and golf. And they had one thing more in common: their snaggle-toothed grins. Perhaps that could be their bond?
In this healing digital collage art piece, I planted John’s newly-wedded parents in the front of their honeymoon car and put John as a carefree 10 year old in the back seat. It would be the first time that they take a merry ride together, just the three of them.
