A brilliant blue sky knits together over two decades of memories in this memoryscape presented to the family nanny, Nori.  A pensioner now, isolated from the Japanese-American family she grew old with, this commission was a gift of gratitude to help her feel connected across continents.

It is also testimony to her love of life and how she chose to bring up the boys, whether romping with them on a Hawaiian beach or having a quiet moment in Kyoto …  dancing it up at the Obon Festival or standing atop the grand Buddha at Kamakura.
