Pittsburgh.  Memory artist, Nancy Gershman—host of Death Cafe New York City—and Lynda Shand, RN PhD CHPN, Professor of Palliative Care at the College of New Rochelle, and a frequent guest of Death Cafe NYC, co-presented on how this exceptional death cafe has been able to run continuously for five consecutive years.

Gershman and Shand delivered the talk, “Stay’n Alive: Lessons from a Lively and Long Running Death Cafe” to a professional audience of bereavement counselors, chaplains, clinicians and others at the 40th Annual Conference by the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC).
