In this custom fantasy photomontage, Marlene wanted her Rhodesian Ridgebacks placed in their natural habitat, along with a whole pride of lions lolling about in the African Velt.

Marlene had sketched out the card’s holiday theme, “Why can’t we all just get along?” That immediately triggered an image for me of Rousseau’s “Peaceable Kingdom.” I would add assorted predators and their prey in this Dreamscape collage, posing them together as if they were merely roommates posing on a Reality TV show.  Marlene’s response to her original artwork?

“I LOVE the card!! I really think it’s a total winner! I also think the other animals are really fine – of course mine are perfect.”
